Tymit Taps Into Google Pay for Seamless Credit Transactions

Tymit – the UK fintech making credit fairer for all – today announces its integration with Google Pay. Now, customers of Tymit’s credit services can make seamless payments on Android devices without the need for their physical card, and contactless payments can exceed the £45 limit.

Founded by brothers Martin and Nico Magnone with the aim of creating a completely transparent credit card, Tymit’s suite of services help Brits address the unmanageable, revolving debt they find themselves in every year – which according to The Money Charity, sits at £32,326 of debt per adult in the UK on average.

As the UK’s first instalment only credit card, Tymit offers no minimum payment terms, hidden fees or compound interest, and instead provides customers with handy bundling tools and interest calculators that help them use credit responsibly.

Martin Magnone, CEO of Tymit said: “We are extremely pleased that our transparent credit card is making credit fairer for all and that our customers can now take advantage of it through their mobile wallets. With the launch of Google Pay, we’re making fairer and responsible credit one step easier for customers across the UK.

“Since launching, we’ve been carefully building our tech platform from the ground up. It’s enabled us to deliver innovative credit solutions – not seen with traditional providers – with flexibility and at scale. Now, our task is to integrate our unique platform with other consumer services. Google Pay is the first of many, and I’m looking forward to the expansion of Tymit’s services in the near future.”

Since its launch, Tymit has been backed by Fasanara Capital and VentureFriends, amongst others, while growing its workforce in the UK by 438% to scale up the delivery of tech-first credit services. This integration with Google Pay marks yet another key milestone for the fintech brand, making its app-based credit experience more tightly bound to mobile devices.

Tymit customers can set up Google Pay in three easy steps:

  1. Download the Google Pay app from the Google Play or App Store
  2. Follow the instructions to add a card or another payment method
  3. Verify your card as necessary – then you are all set!
